Starting in Crossens and ending at The Lake House Waterloo. the route boasts some wonderful views of our coastline. Walking through the sand dunes, the Ainsdale National Nature Reserve, Formby Point (home of the red squirrels) and on towards Another Place (alternatively known as the Iron Men), the ever-changing scenery can be dramatic at times.
And remember, you don't have to do this route all at once, it's split into 3 sections and is easily served by both bus and train, so you can hop on and off at different sections as suits your ability.
