Attachment and Trauma Informed Practice
In Sefton we are passionate about ensuring our most vulnerable children and families have the best start possible. During the COVID pandemic we realised that almost everyone was now experiencing some degree of trauma, and for some families the pandemic exacerbated the already difficult circumstances they face on a daily basis. With this in mind we started working closely with Jenny Nock on the Attachment and Trauma Sensitive Setting Award, this journey has continued as more schools and settings strive to meet the needs of young children and their families in the ever-changing world we live in.
