Southport Eco Visitor Centre

Southport Park & Ride Is No Longer Operational

As of April 1st, 2024 Sefton Council ceased operation of its Park and Ride service after a significant decline in users. The ‘parking’ element of the service, based at the Esplanade, will remain as a pay and display car park and over 1,000 cars will still be able to use the site while they go about their business in the town and on the Seafront

Eco centreThe Southport Eco Centre is sited on the Esplanade Park and Ride site, close to Southport's famous seafront.

It was designed, built and equipped with the environment in mind, including exciting renewable technologies and green design features. It also hosts a multiple award-winning education facility delivering sessions to students from all over the North West region and beyond.

Facilities

Eco centre interiorA wide range of topic based visits are available including innovative learning in outdoor settings. All the visits are cross curricular and linked to National Curriculum attainment targets across a wide range of subject areas.

New days are continuously being developed and bespoke lesson plans can be devised to complement and support topic based planning.
