Summer on the Lake activities such as sailing and kayaking for children and young people have also started again from Monday.
A Sefton Council’s spokesperson said: “For the sad reasons people will appreciate, Crosby Marine Lake has been closed for over a week but it has reopened from today for the many people wanting to take part in the activities provided.
“We were in contact with Mr Melia’s family last week, through their Liaison Officer, to ensure they were aware of the Lake’s re-opening.”
