A Sefton Council job brokerage service supporting residents with employment and training has been shortlisted for a national award.

Sefton@Work, who help people in the Borough improve their lives by giving them the tools to find new jobs or education, was announced as one of the Inclusive Awards finalists for their Social Mobility Project Award.

Helping communities

The award recognises the hard work that has been done by Sefton@Work from their Bootle and Southport offices. Their successes include guiding people who have faced discrimination towards paid employment opportunities and arranging placements to build skills and confidence. Their thorough approach means that people remain supported even after securing a placement or job.

The organisation is one of eight finalists for the award, with the winner being announced on Tuesday 5^th December at a special event in London.
