Lawnmower Museum
The Open Days Festival in Southport runs from Friday September 8th to Sunday September September 17th, with the first event – at the British Lawnmower Museum –already registered!
Do you have a heritage story you’d like to share? Or a historic building that you’d like to show people?
Southport Townscape Heritage Project is ready to help co-ordinate walks, talks, tours and all things celebrating the town’s heritage for Southport’s part in the Heritage Open Days festival.
Creativity Unpacked
This year’s festival theme is Creativity Unpacked – all about the designers, architects, artists and writers who’ve had an impact locally and nationally.
There’s lots of support available from the national team as well – including insurance cover.
Donations
All events go on the national website so reach a huge audience. And although the event itself must be free and put on specially for the festival, you can ask for donations or raise funds by offering refreshments.
Taking part is a great way to get people interested in what you do now, as well as your historic activity or building.
Thousands of people
Last year’s events in Southport proved exceptionally popular, with thousands of people having a great time learning something new about the town’s heritage.
